The effort is aimed as anticipation of bird flu spread. Previously, dead poultries were found in Cilandak Barat Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta.

Sri Hartati, Head Board of Husbandry for KPKP, admitted her said together with Sub-dept. of KPKP had socialized and raided the poultries. In fact, citizens’ awareness remain low.

According to her, poultry cages distance must be 25 meter from settlement. The cage must be also cleaned with disinfectant.

“Citizens should not afraid to consume chicken since bird flu is spread through its feces,” she closed.
